Excavation

Soil excavation means that you excavate and thereby lower the soil level. This applies to land (the surface level) as well as waterbeds. You remove a layer of soil such as clay, peat, sand, or gravel. Examples of excavation include:

  • sand extraction
  • water storage
  • nature development

Anyone intending to excavate the soil requires an excavation licence.
