Maintenance Work on Koningin Julianalaan

From Monday, September 16, through Saturday, September 21, between 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., maintenance work will be carried out at various locations on Koningin Julianalaan. This work will involve repaving the road and repairing the manholes. The work is being carried out by the Van der Steen company on behalf of the municipality of Voorschoten. Bad weather may cause the work to take longer than expected.

Accessibility

During the construction work, roads and bike paths will be less accessible. Traffic will be rerouted via detours or directed by traffic controllers. This will be indicated by traffic signs.

Koningin Julianalaan Closed

Koningin Julianalaan will be partially closed to all traffic from 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 16, until 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 21. This will take place in two phases: in Phase 1, from 7:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., one lane will remain open to traffic. In Phase 2, from 1:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m., the road will be completely closed. Traffic will be rerouted via a detour, which will be indicated by traffic signs.

Nuisance

You may experience some inconvenience while the work is being carried out. This may include noise disturbances, as the work will also take place at night. The municipality is working with the contractors to minimize any inconvenience as much as possible.
