Maintenance of the Voorburg-Leiden High-Voltage Transmission Line
From February through April, grid operator TenneT will have maintenance work performed on the high-voltage transmission line between Voorburg and Leiden (150 kV). The work will be carried out by SPIE Nederland B.V.
During the week of February 2 through 6, SPIE Nederland will set up a construction site near high-voltage transmission tower 23, near Brunita J. Gemmekelaan. This construction site will remain in place until April 17 at the latest. During the week of March 2 through 6, a construction site will be set up near high-voltage transmission tower 26. This construction site will remain in place until April 17 at the latest. If the work is completed earlier, the site will be cleared up sooner.
Replacing a lightning rod
During the period mentioned, SPIE Nederland will replace the lightning conductor on the high-voltage transmission line. The current copper lightning conductor will be replaced with a steel wire. This is necessary to keep the high-voltage transmission line safe and reliable and to prevent future outages.
Disruptions and Accessibility
During the work, nearby residents may experience some inconvenience, such as noise from machinery or increased traffic in the area. The work will take place along the high-voltage power line in Voorburg. The electricity supply to nearby residents will remain unaffected; there will be no power outages. SPIE Nederland will be working on weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. No work will be carried out outside these hours.
