Effective July 1, 2014, the municipality of Voorschoten transferred its responsibilities regarding the issuance of permits, supervision , and enforcement of environmental regulations to the West-Holland Environmental Service. The Environmental Service issues environmental permits and enforces environmental regulations at businesses. In addition to Voorschoten, the Environmental Service also serves other municipalities in the region. An overview of its service area can be found on the Environmental Service’s website at .
Environmental complaint hotline
You can contact the Environmental Complaint Hotline for environmental complaints regarding businesses. Environmental complaints concern issues such as noise, odor, soil, or air pollution. The Environment Service then checks whether the company complies with environmental regulations. You can also report (suspected) soil movement and excavations. The Environment Service does not handle complaints about private household waste or aeroplane noise.

Questions and complaints about Schiphol

On Bas's website you will find news and background information about air traffic at Schiphol, route and runway use, and aeroplane noise. You can ask your question or submit your complaint via the website.
BAS forwards your question to Schiphol, Air Traffic Control the Netherlands, or the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. BAS registers complaints, but cannot take action itself. The collected complaints are discussed in the Schiphol Regional Consultative Committee (CROS). Bas can be reached by telephone at 020 - 60 15 555. Bas is open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including weekends.
