The Municipality of Leidschendam-Voorburg processes and pays out the applications for our municipality. You can apply for the energy allowance using the application form at . The form also lists the eligibility requirements you must meet. The energy allowance is a grant and does not need to be repaid. Applications can be submitted through June 30, 2024.

Income for the Energy Allowance

Residents are eligible for the energy allowance if, as of November 1, 2023, their income was less than 120% of the social assistance standard in effect at that time. For example, a single adult between the ages of 21 and retirement age may earn no more than €1,459.94. A cohabiting couple in the same age group is eligible if their combined income was less than €2,085.62.

Help with Applications and Financial Matters

Residents who need help applying for the one-time energy allowance can make an appointment with Voorschoten voor Elkaar. Until the end of March, Voorschoten voor Elkaar is holding consultation hours for this purpose every Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Thursday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The consultation hours are by appointment and last approximately 30 minutes per person.
