New Grant Program Boosts the Local Economy in Voorschoten
Local business owners, business associations, organizations, and foundations can apply for grants for activities in 2024 and 2025 that support the local economy of Voorschoten. Applications for the grant must be submitted by October 1, 2024.

The Voorschoten City Council has adopted the “2024 Grant Program to Stimulate the Local Economy of Voorschoten.” “I am pleased that this grant will help support the local economy,” says Alderman Paul de Bruijn. “Hopefully, many business owners will take advantage of this opportunity.”
Promoting Economic Activity
By promoting Voorschoten’s core values—quality, culture, and cuisine—entrepreneurs, business collectives, associations, and foundations are encouraged and challenged to organize activities that foster economic activity within Voorschoten. Economic activity helps raise the municipality’s profile, attract visitors, create jobs, and make the municipality appealing to young, ambitious, and talented people.
Terms and Conditions
The activities must contribute to one or more of six criteria. In order of priority, these are: promoting entrepreneurship, combating vacancy, promoting employment, increasing the visibility and public reach of Voorschoten’s recreational offerings, innovation, and promoting sustainable business practices. The exact conditions and criteria can be found at lokaleregelgeving.overheid.nl.
