New " municipal council " Installed for the 2026–2030 Council Term

At the meeting on April 1, Voorschoten’s new Municipal Council ( municipal council ) was officially installed for the 2026–2030 term. During this meeting, all council members were sworn in and accepted their positions.

The new council

Mayor Nadine Stemerdink administered the oath of office. By taking the oath or pledge, the council members declared that they would perform their duties with integrity and in accordance with their honour , and conscience fulfil. In addition to the 21 council members, 11 committee members representing the various political parties were also sworn in.

The future of the municipality

“The Municipal Council ( municipal council ) is the highest governing body of a municipality,” says Mayor Nadine Stemerdink. “The council members represent the residents of Voorschoten. Over the next four years, they will address important issues and make decisions that will shape the future of the municipality—from housing construction, major maintenance, and sustainability to education, social services, and public safety. I wish them all much wisdom and enjoyment!”
