Do you disagree with your WOZ value? Please contact the BSGR
Each year, the municipality determines the value of your home, building, lot, or land. This is called the “Real Property Valuation (WOZ),” or the WOZ value. The BSGR uses this value to determine how much real property tax (OZB) you must pay. You will receive your tax assessment in February.
Starting January 1, 2022, the WOZ value of your home will be calculated slightly differently than in previous years. Starting then, the calculation will be based on the number of square meters (usable floor area) rather than the volume (cubic meters) of your home. This calculation is a nationwide requirement and will be applied for the first time in the 2022 municipal tax assessment, which you will receive in February. Due to this different method of calculation, your tax bill may differ from previous years.
Do you disagree with the WOZ value?
If you disagree with your WOZ value, there are several ways to file an objection. You must always file an objection with the BSGR.
