Report incorrectly delivered benefit statements

The municipality of Leidschendam-Voorburg has determined that an unknown number of benefit statements for residents of the municipalities of Leidschendam-Voorburg, Wassenaar, and Voorschoten were sent to the wrong beneficiaries. Three individuals have reported to the municipality that they received incorrect information. It is not possible to determine exactly which benefit statements are involved or how many there are. We are investigating how this could have happened. This involves privacy-sensitive information, such as name and address details, Social Security numbers, and financial data. For this reason, our Data Protection Officer is reporting this as a data breach to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

We understand that this situation is frustrating for the residents affected and regret that this has happened. We urge benefit recipients who have also received an incorrect benefit statement to report this to the municipality by emailing info@lv.nl or by calling 14 070 on weekdays.

The municipality of Leidschendam-Voorburg performs various tasks on behalf of the municipality of Voorschoten, including the administration of social assistance benefits. Residents of Voorschoten who receive these benefits are also aware of this.
