Evening of Lights at Rosenburgh Memorial Park
Lighting candles as a warm reminder of loved ones. To that end, the municipality of Voorschoten organizes “Lichtjesavond” once a year at Rosenburgh Memorial Park. This year, this special evening will take place on Friday, December 12.
At the end of the year, we think especially of our departed loved ones. The desire to feel the presence of a family member, a friend, or just someone from the village is particularly strong at this time. Lighting a candle is a lovely way to do just that. That’s why the municipality of Voorschoten organizes “Lichtjesavond” once a year.
Light a candle
Rosenburgh Memorial Park will be fully illuminated on Friday, December 12, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Bereaved family members are welcome to visit the park during this time and place candles on the graves. They may bring their own candles or select one on site. Coffee and tea will be served in the memorial park’s auditorium, accompanied by music. Even those who have buried or cremated a loved one elsewhere are welcome to light a candle here. Admission to the memorial park is free that evening.

Jansland Tea House Opens
