Leergeld Voorschoten Kicks Off

With its own website, office hours, many new volunteers, and a new, active board, Leergeld Voorschoten launched on February 1, 2021. With Leergeld’s help, children can ride their bikes to school just like the other students and do their homework at home on the computer. Councilman Paul de Bruijn: “Are you unable, for whatever reason, to pay your child’s school expenses yourself? Don’t hesitate—submit an application to Leergeld.”

All children in Voorschoten are welcome to participate. More and more families are struggling financially. As a result, their children sometimes don’t get a fair chance to develop or to participate in sports, music, or theater. Leergeld Voorschoten is committed to helping these children. Families can apply for assistance with, for example, a bicycle, a laptop, sports club dues, or swimming lessons. Leergeld does not consider the reasons behind a family’s financial situation.
