For the past few weeks, €70 off energy-saving products (round-trip)

With just a few weeks left, homeowners in Voorschoten have already spent more than 87% of the available budget under the national Energy Consumption Reduction Program. Residents of Voorschoten who still wish to take advantage of the teGoedbon are advised not to wait too long. The promotion runs through March 31, 2021. But once it’s gone, it’s gone!

About 40% of the teGoedbonnen have been spent on energy-saving products. The top 3 of these products are:

  1. LED Lighting
  2. Radiator valves, radiator wrap, or fans
  3. A more energy-efficient washing machine, dryer, or refrigerator

The remaining 60% of the vouchers was spent on an energy consultation provided by the consulting firm Klimaatroute. These figures make Councilwoman Erika Spil happy: “With initiatives like this, you can really see that sustainability is alive and well in Voorschoten.”

Last fall, gift certificates worth €70 were mailed to homeowners in Voorschoten. Homeowners can use these certificates in two ways:

  1. With this voucher, they can make their homes a little more energy-efficient. After purchasing energy-saving products, such as LED lighting or radiator wrap, they will receive a refund of up to 70 euros on the purchase price;
  2. In addition, they could choose to use the voucher for a free energy consultation worth 70 euros from the consulting firm Klimaatroute. This customized consultation gave them insight into which energy-saving measures would be most beneficial for their home.

You can still redeem the teGoedbon vouchers for energy-saving products through March 31. But here, too, the offer is valid only while supplies last. The option to use the teGoedbon voucher for a free energy consultation recently ended. Later this year, the municipality of Voorschoten will once again participate in a national energy-saving program. This program will also include rental properties.
