Come pick up some free compost
On Saturday, 29 March, the Municipality of Voorschoten is participating in the National Compost Day. On this day, you can collect free compost as a thank you for separating your vegetable, fruit, and garden waste (gft) and food scraps.
On Saturday, March 29, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., you can pick up free compost at the municipal depot at Koninklijke Marinelaan 21. Bags containing 20 litre s of compost will be distributed there.
You can receive a maximum of 3 bags per person.
Good for the garden
Compost is a type of fertilizer made from organic waste. By properly sorting your waste, the waste processor can turn it into compost. This compost is good for the garden and helps plants grow better.
