Small chemical waste

Small chemical waste is a collective term for all kinds of hazardous waste. Examples include batteries, energy-saving light bulbs, and paint. These substances are harmful to people and the environment.

If this hazardous waste is not properly sorted, it can pose a danger to the people who collect it. This waste can also seriously pollute the soil, air, or water.

Small chemical waste contains harmful substances, a large portion of which can be reused. Therefore, please dispose of this hazardous waste separately.

Disposal of Small Chemical Waste

• Please drop off small chemical waste at the recycling center. Click on the link to view the recycling centers and their hours of operation.
• You can also drop off small chemical waste at the municipal office.
  Located at Koninklijke Marinelaan 21 in Voorschoten. You can do so on Wednesdays from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• You can also drop off batteries, energy-saving light bulbs, and fluorescent tubes in special collection bins at stores and home improvement stores.
• You can also return medications and syringes to the pharmacy.
