Kamers met Aandacht is looking for new landlords

Do you remember when you moved out of your parents' house? You probably got help from your parents, friends, or family, and they were there for you when things got tough. But what if you didn't have that?

Kamers met Aandacht is looking for people who want to rent a room to a young person between the ages of 18 and 23 who would like to live on their own but still need a stepping stone toward full independence. Kamers met Aandacht can now also reimburse minor renovation costs if this makes it possible to rent out a “Kamers met Aandacht” room.

Any living space can become a "Room of Attention"

Do you own or rent your home? Are you employed, receiving benefits, or retired? You, too, can become a landlord. Any living space can become a “Room with Care”—whether it’s an extra bedroom with shared facilities or an attic room with its own kitchenette. We can even set up and hook up a tiny house in your yard!

Agreements Regarding the Use of Common Areas

Some of our landlords are fine with the young person using the shared spaces, while others would prefer not to. Kamers met Aandacht can reimburse minor renovation costs if this makes it possible to rent out a “Kamer met Aandacht.” For example, would you prefer to keep your kitchen private? In that case, it’s possible to install a kitchenette with a water connection in the room. Installing a shower stall is also an option. We’re happy to brainstorm opportunities with you and support landlords with the practical implementation.

Meet the tenants

This program is for young adults (ages 18–23) who are focused on their future but lack a social network. Would you like to get to know them? You can find profiles of young people looking for support on our website. The young person pays their own (affordable) rent, is a student, is doing an internship, and/or is working, and receives support from a care provider for the first six months. As a landlord, you’ll be supported by a coordinator. We’re available 24/7 for landlords in case of emergencies.
