Letter of Intent for Residential Units on Oude Stationslaantje

The construction of 120 affordable housing units and 20 mid-range rental units on Oude Stationslaantje. To that end, the Rijnhart Wonen housing authority and the municipality of Voorschoten signed a letter of intent today.

The signing of the letter of intent means that Rijnhart Wonen and the municipality will jointly explore how to develop a plan for 120 affordable housing units and 20 mid-range rental units on Oude Stationslaantje. The agreement was signed by Managing Director Chrétien Mommers and Hans van der Elst, a member of the “ Alderman .” The signing took place today at the Rijnhart Wonen office in Leiderdorp.

New residential area

“By signing this letter of intent, we are taking a major step toward the creation of a new residential area that will be of great significance to Voorschoten,” says Chrétien Mommers. “Oude Stationslaantje offers the opportunity to create affordable, sustainable, and future-proof homes. There is a great need for this. We look forward to continuing to build on this wonderful project together with the municipality and the local community.”

Young People and First-Time Homebuyers

“So many affordable homes, so close to the shops and entertainment venues in the “ centre,” public transportation, and the Papelaan leading to the A44—that’s great news, especially for young people and first-time homebuyers,” adds Alderman Van der Elst. “I sincerely hope that a concrete plan will soon be in place—one that the municipal council , and Rijnhart Wonen can wholeheartedly endorse—so that we can actually make it a reality.”
