Letter of Intent for Residential Units on Oude Stationslaantje
The construction of 120 affordable housing units and 20 mid-range rental units on Oude Stationslaantje. To that end, the Rijnhart Wonen housing authority and the municipality of Voorschoten signed a letter of intent today.
The signing of the letter of intent means that Rijnhart Wonen and the municipality will jointly explore how to develop a plan for 120 affordable housing units and 20 mid-range rental units on Oude Stationslaantje. The agreement was signed by Managing Director Chrétien Mommers and Alderman Hans van der Elst. The signing took place today at the Rijnhart Wonen office in Leiderdorp.
New residential area
“By signing this letter of intent, we are taking a major step toward the creation of a new residential area that will be of great significance to Voorschoten,” says Chrétien Mommers. “Oude Stationslaantje offers the opportunity to create affordable, sustainable, and future-proof homes. There is a great need for this. We look forward to continuing to build on this wonderful project together with the municipality and the local community.”
Young People and First-Time Homebuyers
“So many affordable homes, so close to the shops and entertainment venues in the city center, public transportation, and the Papelaan leading to the A44, is great news, especially for young people and first-time homebuyers,” adds Alderman Van der Elst. “I sincerely hope that a concrete plan will soon be on the table—one that the city council and Rijnhart Wonen will wholeheartedly approve—so that we can actually make it a reality.”
