Comprehensive Inspection of the Dobbewijk Industrial Park
The Hague Economic Intervention Team (HEIT) and the React Anti-Counterfeiting Foundation, in collaboration with the municipality of Voorschoten, conducted a comprehensive inspection. The inspection took place in mid-September at a business located in the Dobbewijk industrial park. Counterfeit goods were seized during the inspection.
The inspection was conducted in response to reports of the sale of counterfeit goods. Such goods were indeed found, including a pallet of a well-known brand of laundry detergent. It was also determined that flammable substances were being stored outside of a fire-resistant cabinet. Furthermore, there was a possible case of unauthorized use of a portion of the premises.
Responding to signals
“We believe it’s important to respond to the reports we receive,” says Mayor Nadine Stemerdink. “With this comprehensive inspection, we were able to prevent another shipment of counterfeit goods from reaching the markt and have eliminated a risk that posed a threat to safety.”
Administrative Intervention Team
Comprehensive inspections are conducted by the Voorschoten municipal administrative intervention team. Through these inspections, the municipality aims to prevent illegal goods from entering the “ markt ” and to ensure that hazardous substances are not stored in residential areas. In addition, they are intended to verify compliance with building and fire safety regulations, environmental regulations, and the zoning plan, among other things.
