Comprehensive Safety Policy
To determine priorities within its scope of responsibilities, the city council adopts the Comprehensive Safety Policy. The Comprehensive Safety Policy (IVB) outlines the general ambitions, priorities, and objectives in the area of safety for the 2019–2022 period.
In implementing the IVB, the municipality applies the principles of Leadership, Collaboration, and Personal Responsibility. The municipality oversees safety policy and is responsible for establishing and ensuring inter-agency cooperation. Because safety concerns us all and encompasses many issues, the municipality joins forces with various partners to ensure that residents feel safe in their communities. Key partners with whom the municipality collaborates to implement the IVB include the police, the Youth and Youth Work Foundation, residents, and the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
