Open House on the Intersections of Leidseweg with Bachlaan and Mozartlaan
The municipality is planning to redesign the intersections of Leidseweg with Bachlaan and Mozartlaan. Residents and interested parties who would like to learn more about the plans are welcome to attend an open house on May 20 at the Bondsgebouw.
“Five days a week, young residents bike to an elementary school in our village or to a middle school a little further away,” says Hubert Schokker, a member of the “ Alderman ” (Leiden Road Residents’ Association). “It’s incredibly important that they be able to do so as safely as possible. That’s why we’re developing a plan to improve the intersections of the busy Leidseweg with Bachlaan and Mozartlaan. We’d like to show residents and stakeholders what the plan looks like at this stage.”
Impressions of the new situation
During the open house, visitors can ask questions of the relevant city officials and experts from the engineering firm Megaborn. Alderman Schokker will also be present. Visualizations of the old and new situations will be on display, as well as drawings of the Preliminary Design. Visitors can provide their feedback on forms, and the city will incorporate that feedback into the Final Design. The plan is to begin construction later this year.
No registration is required
The open house will take place on Tuesday, May 20, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Bondsgebouw, located at Leidseweg 102. There is no set programme, so residents and interested parties can drop by at any time. No registration is required.
