Open House and Call for Youth Input on Voorschoten’s Coalition Agreement
The parties forming the new government—PRO (GroenLinks-PvdA), VVD, and D66—also want to involve residents and the opposition in the formation process. To ensure that input is taken into account as effectively as possible, they are doing so as early as possible in the process and are calling on residents to submit suggestions for the coalition agreement.

On Monday evening, April 13, the city council decided to allow PRO (GroenLinks-PvdA), VVD, and D66 to begin coalition negotiations. By forming this coalition, the council followed the advice of coalition negotiator Berend Potjer. Over the past few weeks, the parties involved in the coalition talks have held initial discussions and made procedural agreements aimed at reaching a coalition agreement.
Open House on May 13
To gather suggestions, the parties forming the new government are organizing an open house on Wednesday, May 13, from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Bondsgebouw, located at Leidseweg 100 in Voorschoten. If you are unable to attend or would prefer to provide input in writing, please send an email to griffie@voorschoten.nl or a letter to the Municipality of Voorschoten, Attention: Coalition Formation, P.O. Box 393, 2252 LA Voorschoten.
A Call to Young People
Since young people were unable to express their needs at the ballot box, the parties forming the new government are urging them to share their input. The coalition agreement is still being finalized, so if you act quickly, your suggestions will be taken into account. Legible, handwritten letters that include your age and a return address in Voorschoten are guaranteed to receive a personal response.
