Individual income supplement

The individual income supplement is intended for people who have had a low income for a longer period of time. You will receive this benefit if there is no prospect of an improvement in your income.

Payment

The municipality determines the amount of the individual income supplement and pays the supplement once a year. You can spend the supplement freely.

How does it work?

You are eligible for the individual income supplement if you meet the following Requirements:

  • You are between the age of 21 and the state pension age.
  • You have had a low income for a long time. The municipality determines what qualifies as 'low for a long time'.
  • Your assets do not exceed the applicable social assistance standard.
  • You have no prospect of income improvement.
  • You have not received an individual income supplement in the past 12 months.

The municipality may impose additional Requirements .
