Assistance for People with Work-Related Disabilities

If you have a physical, intellectual, or mental disability, you may need additional support or accommodations to be able to work. This is called “sheltered employment.” The municipality can help you find sheltered employment.

• You should contact the municipality to apply for a sheltered job.
• You will work with the municipality to determine the best solution. If it turns out that sheltered employment is indeed the best solution, the municipality will request a recommendation from the UWV.
• If the UWV issues a positive recommendation, the municipality will work with you to find a suitable job.
