Housing licence

As of July 2015, the housing licence requirement has been abolished for private social rental housing. You also do not need a housing licence if you live in a social rental home under the Vacancy Act (Leegstandwet).

If you are going to rent a home from a housing association, they will ensure that you obtain a housing licence.

No housing licence is required for owner-occupied housing.
