Housing Permit

As of July 2015, the requirement for a housing permit has been eliminated for private social housing units. You also do not need a housing permit if you live in a social housing unit subject to the Vacancy Act.

If you rent a home from a housing authority, the authority will ensure that you obtain a housing permit.

A housing permit is not required for an owner-occupied home.
