Hollandse Duinen Ready for Official National Park Status

On December 9, 2020, Hollandse Duinen submitted an application for official national park status to the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature, and Food Quality (LNV). The collaboration between Dunea, Staatsbosbeheer, the province of South Holland, and 53 local partners—including the municipality of Voorschoten—can thus count on the energy and support of a broad coalition of organizations. This will make it possible to realize the ambitions of this new-style national park—ambitions that the partners could not achieve on their own: a sustainable, resilient, and accessible national park that strengthens and enhances the area’s value for people, plants, and animals.
