Become a Royal Warrant Holder

"Purveyor to the Royal Household" is a royal distinction (title). You can apply for this title through the mayor. Your company will then be permitted to use the Royal Coat of Arms and add the title "Purveyor to the Royal Household by Royal Decree."

How does it work?

Only the king can grant the title of “Purveyor to the Royal Household.” You may be awarded this title on the occasion of a special anniversary of your company (100th, 125th, 150th, and so on). Sometimes it is also awarded in connection with a very special event at the company. You may use the title “Purveyor to the Royal Household” for a maximum of 25 years. After that, you may apply for an extension.

What should I do?

  • Submit an application to the mayor of the municipality.
  • Do this in the municipality where your business is located.
  • Clearly explain why your company deserves the title of “Purveyor to the Royal Household.”
  • Submit your application at least nine months in advance.

You will be notified automatically if you are awarded the title of “Purveyor to the Royal Household.” In most cases, the King’s Commissioner or the mayor will present you with the corresponding certificate.

  • Overview of the past five years
  • Description of financial projections for the coming years
