Reminder: Long Weekend Closure of the N206 Europaweg
The N206 Europaweg will be closed for a long weekend from 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 27, until 6:00 a.m. on Monday, December 1, on the section between Hofvlietweg and Rooseveltstraat. Kanaalweg near Plantijnstraat and Lammenschansweg near Tomatenstraat will also be closed. The closure applies to all traffic.
After the weekend, the traffic situation will change. Traffic will then use the temporary road that is currently being constructed. If the work cannot be carried out due to weather conditions, it will be postponed to Thursday, December 11, through Monday, December 15.
Detours
Through traffic will be rerouted via the A44, the Corbulo Tunnel, and the A4 on- and off-ramps at Hoogmade (6) and Zoeterwoude-Rijndijk (6a). The new, temporary bicycle bridge over the Trekvliet will remain open. Cyclists on the Vrouwenweg/Vlietweg–Lammenschansplein route will be rerouted via the Kanaalbrug. Cyclists traveling to and from Leiden-West/Voorschoten can also take the route via Vlietland.
