Fence at Ter Wadding removed
Following amicable consultations, the owner of the Ter Wadding country estate and the municipality have reached an agreement regarding the removal of the fence on the estate.

The Ter Wadding estate includes a country house and a monumental park. In 2016, the owner erected a fence around the house. Because the fence compromised the monumental values of the estate and therefore violated the zoning plan, the municipality was obliged to refuse the environmental licence. Following various legal proceedings, the owner and the municipality reached an agreement on the removal of the fence.
Temporary fence
In place of the fence, the owner will plant a continuous hedge near the country house as a high-quality green barrier, intended to ensure the privacy of the users of the Ter Wadding country estate. To guarantee privacy until then, a temporary fence will be installed during the week of 24 November.
