Enforcement Regarding Trailers, Recreational Vehicles, and Other Vehicles

The municipality of Voorschoten would like to inform owners of trailers, recreational vehicles, and other vehicles of the following measure:

It is prohibited to place or keep on the road a vehicle used for recreational purposes or for any purpose other than transportation—such as a mobile home, storage trailer, trailer, or construction trailer— for more than three consecutive days.

This prohibition is included in the General Local Ordinance of Voorschoten (Article 5:6 APV) and applies throughout the municipality. Moving such a vehicle between different locations on public roads is also covered by this provision.

Starting September 1, 2022, the municipality of Voorschoten will take enforcement action if a caravan, RV, trailer, or similar vehicle is left in a public place for too long. Enforcement will be carried out through administrative coercion, which means that the municipality will have the vehicle removed at the owner’s expense.
