Land Policy

The Municipality of Voorschoten has goals and policies in the areas of land-use planning, housing, the economy, public services, and so on. These translate into land-use projects and activities. Land policy is not an end in itself, but a means to implement spatial policy in an administratively and economically responsible manner. It provides tools to manage spatial developments. This Memorandum therefore serves as a “toolbox” for the land policy to be implemented by the Municipality of Voorschoten. Land Price Letter

The Land Price Memorandum accompanies the Land Policy Memorandum. The Land Price Memorandum elaborates on the Land Policy Memorandum 2026–2029. The guiding principle of the Land Price Memorandum is that the municipality shall sell land at market rates. This is in line with the Land Policy Memorandum. Transparency and clarity are essential in this regard, so that clear (financial) agreements can be made with future land purchasers at an early stage.
