Who is this for?

Residents with a net household income of up to 130% of the social assistance threshold are eligible to enroll in the Gemeentepolis. The monthly premium for the Gemeentepolis may be higher than that of your current health insurance plan. However, this group insurance plan covers many treatments, medications, and medical devices. For many healthcare costs, policyholders are therefore often better off with the Gemeentepolis. In addition, policyholders can choose to pay their deductible in installments in advance.

Additional Packages

The Gemeentepolis is a group health insurance plan that consists of mandatory basic coverage and supplemental health insurance. There are two coverage packages that include reimbursements for services such as physical therapy, eyeglasses, and contact lenses, as well as the copayment for the Wmo. Dental coverage is optional. Children up to age 18 are covered at no additional cost, including orthodontic treatment.
