Nominees for the Second Edition of the Voorschoten Awards Announced

From the large number of entries for the 2024 Voorschoten Awards, the expert jury has selected several nominees. Once again this year, there are awards to be won in the categories of sports, culture, and volunteer work. A special youth award will also be presented. The winners will be announced during a special awards show held during the Weekend of Voorschoten.

The Voorschoten Awards were established last year to honor the many volunteers, athletes, and cultural enthusiasts active in Voorschoten and to thank them for their tireless dedication. The expert jury consists of Hans van der Elst (Councilor for Culture), Hubert Schokker (Councilor for Sports), Maria Rosenmöller (vocal coach and winner of the 2023 Voorschoten Awards/Culture), Hans Douw (sports columnist), and Yvonne van Balen (director of the welfare organization Voorschoten voor Elkaar).

Awards Show, September 13

The awards will be presented during the Awards Show on Friday, September 13, at the Kruispuntkerk. It promises to be a spectacular evening featuring music, dance, and much more. All residents of Voorschoten are warmly invited to attend the Awards ceremony. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. The ceremony begins at 8:00 p.m. The show will last until approximately 9:30 p.m., followed by a fun afterparty. 

The Voorschoten Awards organizing committee congratulates the nominees and looks forward to welcoming everyone to the second edition of the Voorschoten Awards.
