Profile

As the chief advisor to the municipal executive, the municipal secretary participates in the meetings of the mayor and aldermen. He ensures the successful implementation of policy and encourages innovation. In doing so, he serves as the link between the administration’s objectives and the capabilities of the municipal bureaucracy. As chief executive officer, the municipal secretary bears ultimate responsibility for the municipal bureaucracy.
