Municipal Health Service (GGD)

Every municipality is required to promote public health and combat infectious diseases. To this end, municipalities have established the Municipal Health Services (GGD). For more information, please contact the GGD with which your municipality is affiliated.

In the event of a disaster, the GGD works together with the Medical Assistance for Accidents and Disasters (GHOR).

In the event of a nationwide epidemic, the Center for Infectious Disease Control (CIb) coordinates and supports the municipality in this effort.
