The Municipality of Voorschoten is seeking organizers for Leiden European City of Science 2022
In 2022, Leiden will be the European City of Science. This means a year-long focus on science, knowledge, and the arts. Voorschoten is also participating in the science festival and is therefore looking for organizers who would like to get involved.
Would your (sports) club, neighborhood, dance school, or foundation like to participate in one of the 365 daily themes with a performance, walk, workshop, or lecture? If so, please register with the municipality of Voorschoten. We’ll make sure your activity is featured on the Leiden 2022 calendar.
Leiden 2022
In 2022, Leiden will be the first European city to present a 365-day science festival for anyone with a curious mind. With a diverse range of exhibitions, workshops, field trips, activities, and events, science, knowledge, art, and craftsmanship will be on the agenda. International conferences and scientific gatherings will address the major issues of our time. At the same time, Leiden European City of Science 2022 offers a surprising program, with indirect interaction with local residents focusing on a different interesting topic every day. From conferences to neighborhood initiatives, Leiden European City of Science 2022 shares cutting-edge knowledge right down to the very fabric of society.
Voorschoten and the Science Festival
Through the “Knowledge Through the Neighborhoods” co-creation project, an activity is organized every day in one of the 101 neighborhoods of Leiden, Zoeterwoude, Voorschoten, Oegstgeest, and Leiderdorp, centered around one of the 365 accessible, curiosity-piquing topics. That’s why the municipality of Voorschoten is looking for your activity—one that will make the science festival even more fun!
