The countdown has begun. The Municipality of Voorschoten wishes you a happy New Year. “Get together with friends and family, be careful with fireworks, and above all, have a wonderful evening,” says Mayor Nadine Stemerdink.
New Year’s Eve is traditionally an evening of oliebollen and apple turnovers, the New Year’s Eve comedy show, and colorful fireworks. Mayor Stemerdink: “It’s also a time to reflect on what the past year has meant to you personally and to look ahead to the new year. Please also give the police, fire department, ambulance service, and special enforcement officers—who are there for us day and night—the space to enjoy a happy New Year’s Eve. That way, we can all start 2026 off on the right foot.”
