The Municipality of Voorschoten is replacing approximately 50 trees
With spring approaching, the municipality of Voorschoten will be replacing fifty to sixty trees. Due to disease—such as fungal infections or dead trees—the safety of these trees can no longer be guaranteed. The Buitenhuis Company will begin the work on Monday, January 22, 2024.
First, the old trees are removed from the ground—a process also known as uprooting. Next, the soil is prepared for the new trees. Our Field Service colleagues are doing their very best to plant the new trees by mid-February 2024. Because the municipality of Voorschoten places great value on creating an outdoor space that is as ecologically diverse as possible, we are planting a variety of tree species. Of course, we consider which tree species will thrive best at each specific location. The work will be completed by mid-March 2024.
