The Municipality of Voorschoten Designates Fireworks-Free Zones
The Voorschoten City Council has passed a resolution establishing fireworks-free zones for the upcoming New Year's Eve celebrations. Residents are prohibited from setting off consumer fireworks at nine locations.
From 6:00 p.m. on December 31 to 2:00 a.m. on January 1, residents celebrating New Year’s Eve are permitted to set off consumer fireworks. This is stipulated in the national Fireworks Decree. However, to prevent danger, damage, or nuisance, municipalities may grant exceptions. In so-called fireworks-free zones, residents are not allowed to set off fireworks. In Voorschoten, this applies to nine locations.
