The Municipality of Voorschoten is conducting an online survey on waste separation for 2023

This week, the municipality of Voorschoten is inviting residents to participate in the 2023 Waste Separation online survey.

By sorting waste even more carefully, we can recover more raw materials. At the same time, we’ll need to incinerate less waste. That’s better for the environment and keeps waste disposal costs under control.

Decisions Regarding Waste Collection and Processing

The municipality of Voorschoten believes it is important to listen to residents and take their opinions into account when making decisions about waste collection and processing. That is why the municipality would like to hear what you already know about sorting and reducing waste, and what ideas you have.

This year in Voorschoten, we’re focusing on improving the separation of vegetable, fruit, and yard waste, food scraps, and waste paper and cardboard. We’re doing this mainly because this waste still often ends up in the general waste stream. We’d like to change this, as we’re working toward reducing general waste.
