The Municipality of Voorschoten is offering tenants and homeowners a subsidy to save energy
Free! Now get €70 worth of products or advice
The municipality of Voorschoten is committed to helping its residents save energy and money. That’s why the municipality is offering a subsidy. This allows residents to purchase energy-saving products that best suit their homes for free. Examples include draft stoppers, LED lighting, or a water-saving showerhead. Any renter or homeowner in Voorschoten can apply for the subsidy, but the budget is limited. The housing association De Sleutels will also promote and offer energy-saving packages to some of its tenants in Voorschoten. Those tenants will be notified about this separately.
Homeowners can also use the grant to pay for a free thermal scan of their home and/or an in-home consultation, both provided by an energy coach from the Infrared Voorschoten working group.

Last year, Voorschoten had a similar program, but at that time it was only for homeowners. This year, the majority of the subsidy is earmarked for renters. The municipality received funding for this from the national government through a special program, the RREW. The Duurzaam Bouwloket is administering the program on behalf of the municipality of Voorschoten.
For Renters and Homeowners
The Municipality of Voorschoten is offering this grant to help tenants and homeowners get started with small energy-saving measures. This comes in handy now that energy prices have risen so much. By using energy-saving products, you’re also helping to make the world a little better by reducing yourCO2 emissions. The grant is available through July 31, 2022.
