City Unveils Procurement Initiative for Energy-Saving Measures

Do you live in a single-family home in Voorschoten? Would you like to live more sustainably and save money on your energy bill? The municipality of Voorschoten is offering a subsidy program for solar panels, window insulation, cavity wall and floor insulation, and hybrid heat pumps. The company Winst uit je woning is administering the program on behalf of the municipality. You can still participate until April 30.

During the campaign, a large group of homeowners collectively purchases energy-saving measures. The main advantage of this collective purchasing is that it takes the work off the homeowners’ hands. All the research is done for them: Winst uit je woning compares all the providers and what they offer.

Winst uit je woning also handles the subsidy application process for you. After signing up, you’ll receive independent advice and customized quotes. The quotes you receive are non-binding; you’re free to request a quote from another provider and/or decline the offer.

Sustainability is a top priority

“Sustainability is high on the agenda, and that’s exactly where it should be,” says Councilman Hans van der Elst. “That’s true worldwide, it’s true in the Netherlands, and of course it’s true for Voorschoten as well. That’s why we’re so eager to join the ‘Winst uit je woning’ initiative.”

The alderman has noticed that more and more residents are taking steps to save energy. “I wholeheartedly welcome this. I would like to urge every homeowner who hasn’t done so yet—but who is able to set aside the funds for it—to take advantage of this promotion this month.”

Local businesses were actively approached

"Winst uit je woning" offers many businesses—including local ones, of course—the opportunity to participate in the purchasing campaign. They have been actively approached, and the municipality has also posted a recruitment notice. The businesses selected by "Winst uit je woning" for this purchasing campaign meet strict criteria in terms of quality, service, and warranty. Their prices are also competitive.
