City has trees pruned
On behalf of the municipality of Voorschoten, 3,500 trees will be pruned in various neighborhoods over the coming period. The first neighborhood is Adegeest, followed by Noord-Hofland. The pruning will take several months to complete. Work will be temporarily suspended between Christmas and New Year’s.

Trees play a major role in creating a pleasant living environment. They provide shade, help regulate water, and offer habitats for birds, insects, squirrels, and bats. Timely inspections and regular maintenance minimize the risk of falling branches and keep trees strong and healthy.
Potential Nuisance
You may experience some inconvenience due to the work. The immediate area will be cordoned off during the pruning. This is necessary to ensure safe working conditions and prevent dangerous situations. Once the pruning is complete, the area will be reopened. No streets will be closed off, and all homes will remain accessible.
