City Unveils Energy-Saving Plan for Homes Built in the 1950s and 1960s
The municipality of Voorschoten has developed an energy-saving initiative specifically for residents of owner-occupied homes built between 1950 and 1969. These homes were only partially insulated when they were built, so there is significant potential for improvement. On behalf of the municipality of Voorschoten, the Duurzaam Bouwloket—the municipal energy information center—is organizing an online information session and an insulation campaign.
Residents with homes built in the 1950s and 1960s have been invited by mail to participate in an online information session on Tuesday, April 19 (7:30–8:30p.m.). They can register to participate viawww.duurzaambouwloket.nl/5060-voorschoten. The independent Duurzaam Bouwloket will explain, step by step, how such a home can be made energy-efficient and comfortable with the help of subsidies and an insulation campaign, among other measures. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions, including those specific to your own situation.
