Finance
The municipality's financial documents outline the plans and costs for the coming years. Below is an overview of the most important documents.
Policy Memorandum
The framework memorandum serves as the basis for the annual Planning & Control cycle. This policy document provides insight into the municipality’s long-term plans and how they will be funded. In it, the “ executive board ” of the mayor and aldermen (the “ executive board ” of the mayor and aldermen) makes decisions regarding existing and new policies, thereby setting the direction for the budget.
Budget
The budget outlines what the municipality aims to achieve in the coming year, how much it will cost, and what Voorschoten’s financial situation is. The Municipal Executive ( executive board ) drafts the budget, after which the Municipal Council ( municipal council ) discusses it, makes any necessary adjustments, and adopts it.
Progress Reports
Two interim reports are published each year: the Spring Memorandum and the Fall Memorandum. These documents provide an update on the progress made toward the budget’s objectives and the associated financial resources.
Annual Reports
At the beginning of each year, the City Executive Board ( executive board ) reports to the City Council ( municipal council) through its annual report. This report details what was accomplished in the past year and how much it cost.
