Survey and Open House for New Swimming Pool in Voorschoten
Help us plan the new swimming pool at Adegeest Sports Park. The municipality of Voorschoten is calling on all residents to participate. Starting today, both adults and young people can fill out a survey. An open house will be held on April 9 at Het Wedde swimming pool.

Het Wedde Swimming Pool has reached the end of its useful life. Furthermore, its gas-fired heating system is outdated. For this reason, the city council decided in late 2025 to build a new swimming pool. It will be constructed next to the current pool, so that Het Wedde can remain open during construction. Once the new pool is completed, the current pool will be demolished. The new sports center will feature not only a swimming pool but also a sports hall.
Survey
“Of course, we want the new swimming pool to meet residents’ needs as well as possible,” says Councilman Hubert Schokker. “That’s why we’ve created a survey with two versions: one for adults and one for young people. I hope as many residents as possible will fill it out. The responses will help us build a modern, accessible, and future-proof new swimming pool.”
Open House Afternoon
Residents who would like to learn more are welcome to attend the open house at Het Wedde swimming pool on Thursday, April 9, between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. There, you can speak one-on-one with the project manager and advisors to get more information. In addition, anyone who wishes to do so can fill out the survey on paper or online. It’s an open house, so feel free to drop by whenever it’s convenient for you!
