Energy Coaches for Free Energy Advice
Just as it did last spring, the Municipality of Voorschoten is offering households free energy advice. To this end, energy coaches from the organization Klimaatroute will be making home visits to various households this fall. This initiative is aimed at households that may be experiencing energy poverty. In this way, the Municipality of Voorschoten hopes to help residents who are struggling to pay their energy bills.
The campaign offering free energy advice recently launched. The participating households have been carefully selected and will receive a letter from the municipality in advance. During their visit, Klimaatroute’s energy coaches will conduct a brief home assessment of the energy situation. They will then help residents choose suitable, small energy-saving products—such as LED bulbs, a water-saving showerhead, draft stoppers, or radiator foil—up to a value of 125 euros. The energy coaches will then install the products immediately, free of charge.
For this project, the Municipality of Voorschoten is collaborating with the housing associations Rijnhart Wonen, De Sleutels, and Woonzorg.
