First Newcomers Pass the Introductory Integration Class
No fewer than 15 status holders have successfully completed the Start Class integration program. They finished their introductory integration program on Friday, March 1. The Start Class is an initiative of the municipalities of Wassenaar, Leidschendam-Voorburg, and Voorschoten. Now, these newcomers are well-prepared to begin their integration process in one of the three municipalities.
Paul de Bruijn, alderman for integration: “This Integration Start Class is a new initiative for the three municipalities and the next step in our collaboration on integration. The Intake Class serves, so to speak, as an orientation before status holders actually begin the integration program. This helps them get off to an even better start in our municipality. I am proud of these first graduates, and I wish them all the best of luck with their integration.”

Which program is the best fit?
The Integration Start Class prepares newcomers in Leidschendam-Voorburg, Voorschoten, and Wassenaar for their integration program. In addition, the program helps the municipality get to know them better. This allows the municipality to better determine which integration program is the best fit for each individual.
Collaboration
Participants receive language lessons from Foxtaal and Echt Nederlands and are introduced to key locations and organizations in the municipality. They also take part in activities such as a workshop on managing finances. To this end, the municipalities work closely with social organizations such as Vluchtelingenwerk and the WerkgeversServicepunt.
