De Sleutels and the Municipality of Voorschoten Sign an Agreement for Four Mobile Homes

This week, the De Sleutels housing authority and the municipality of Voorschoten signed an agreement for four mobile homes on Korte Vliet. De Sleutels will manage and rent out the mobile homes.

The signatories shook hands

Voorschoten’s only mobile home is located on Leidseweg. Because the new Segaar-Arsenaal residential neighborhood is planned for that site, the municipality sought an alternative location. In 2023, the “ municipal council ” chose the peninsula on the Korte Vliet.

First two mobile homes

At the end of September, two modern mobile homes will be placed on Korte Vliet. The municipality of Voorschoten purchased these mobile homes. De Sleutels will take them over at cost. They will be delivered in early October. Two more mobile homes will be added by the end of 2026. The housing authority will purchase those directly from the supplier.

A total of four sites

The agreement was signed by Danny Wijnbelt, managing director of De Sleutels, and Hans van der Elst, director of the Alderman . With a total of four sites, the municipality now meets its legal obligation to provide sufficient space for mobile homes in Voorschoten. The land remains the property of the municipality, but De Sleutels will be responsible for its maintenance.
