De Sleutels and the Municipality of Voorschoten Sign a Letter of Intent Regarding Mobile Homes

The De Sleutels housing authority and the municipality of Voorschoten signed a letter of intent today. The signatories will jointly explore whether the housing authority can purchase and manage the planned mobile homes on Korte Vliet.

The signatories shook hands

Voorschoten’s only mobile home is located on Leidseweg. Because the new Segaar-Arsenaal residential neighborhood is planned for that site, the municipality sought an alternative location. In September 2023, the city council selected the peninsula on Korte Vliet. Two new mobile homes will be placed there in about half a year. On January 30, the city council will decide whether to add two more mobile homes in about two years.

De Sleutels and the municipality of Voorschoten will now investigate whether the housing association can purchase and manage the new mobile homes. To that end, Danny Wijnbelt, managing director of De Sleutels, and Alderman Hans van der Elst signed a letter of intent. If the investigation yields positive results, the residents will rent the mobile homes from De Sleutels.
