De Sleutels and the Municipality of Voorschoten Sign a Letter of Intent Regarding Mobile Homes
The De Sleutels housing authority and the municipality of Voorschoten signed a letter of intent today. The signatories will jointly explore whether the housing authority can purchase and manage the planned mobile homes on Korte Vliet.
The only mobile home in Voorschoten is located on Leidseweg. Because the new Segaar-Arsenaal residential development is planned for that site, the municipality sought an alternative location. In September 2023, the “ municipal council ” (Voorschoten Community Council) selected the peninsula on the Korte Vliet. Two new mobile homes will be placed there in about half a year. On January 30, the “ municipal council ” (Voorschoten Municipal Council) will decide whether two more mobile homes will be added in about two years.
De Sleutels and the municipality of Voorschoten will now investigate whether the housing association can purchase and manage the new mobile homes. To that end, Danny Wijnbelt, managing director of De Sleutels, and Hans van der Elst, director of the Alderman , signed a letter of intent. If the investigation yields positive results, the residents will rent the mobile homes from De Sleutels.
