The countdown has begun. The municipality of Voorschoten wishes you a happy New Year. “Get together with friends and family, be careful with fireworks later, and have a fun evening,” urges Mayor Nadine Stemerdink.

New Year’s Eve is a traditional evening of oliebollen, the New Year’s Eve comedy show, and colorful fireworks. Mayor Stemerdink: “It’s also an evening to reflect on what the past year has meant to you personally, and to make plans for the new year. Let’s do that together in a fun and safe way. Let’s also wish the police, fire department, ambulance crews, and special enforcement officers—who are there for us day and night—a happy New Year’s Eve. That way, we can all ensure a festive New Year’s Eve together.”
