Cybercrime Challenge
Digital security is a key priority within the municipalities of the Leiden region, including Voorschoten. Online criminals are constantly devising new ways to steal personal data and money. Falling victim to this can have a major impact—financially, of course, but it can also cause emotional or psychological consequences.
That is why the municipalities of Leiden, Oegstgeest, Leiderdorp, Zoeterwoude, and Voorschoten are joining forces to raise awareness and improve residents' resilience against online criminals.

Therefore, starting October 14, all residents can take the Cybercrime Challenge at home, school, or work. The Cybercrime Challenge is a 30-minute online training for both beginners and advanced users, covering topics such as phishing (luring you to a fake website) and extortion (online blackmail).
This enables all our residents to learn more about the most common forms of cybercrime.
